About
Behind the brand

Just call me an espresso shot: an Italian classic, intense, and not to everyone’s taste.
Studio Grazia is an Italian culture and lifestyle publication for women who carry their heritage in their bones but live it somewhere else entirely.
It exists for the Italian diaspora woman who knows what la bella figura means without being able to explain it in English. Who smells the caffettiera on the stove and is immediately nine years old again, watching her compari play Briscola. Who understands, without it needing to be explained, why the table that was set for six fed ten, and the argument that started over a recipe ended up being about something that happened in 1987.
It’s also for the woman who wasn’t born into it but got there anyway. The one who took the language classes, married into the family, fell in love with a campanile, and never quite recovered. You belong here too. Welcome.
If you’re looking for dreamy travel content, limone aesthetics, and golden hour aperitivo shots, you’re in the wrong place. But, if you can follow five conversations happening simultaneously over Sunday lunch and feel peace in the chaos, pull up a chair. Andiamo.
The woman behind the publication
Studio Grazia is written and edited by Maree, an Italian-Australian copywriter based in Melbourne. Her family is from Abruzzo.
Holding full Italian citizenship through jure sanguinis, Maree has spent nearly two decades working across editorial, digital, and branded content. She holds two degrees from Monash University and has yet to turn down a bowl of spaghetti puttanesca when offered.
She is working her way through all 900 churches in Rome. Only 876 to go.
